The Almond Board of Australia has released its pre-season crop estimate for 2023.

The crop pre-season estimate for Australian almonds has come in at 156,200 tonnes (kernel weight equivalent).

This is below previous forecasts but above recent expectations due to extended wet weather and pollination challenges.

Harvest is expected to be 1–2 weeks late due to the mild growing conditions.

The new Australian season extends from March, 2023 to February 28, 2024.
