The Australian Industry Hub (AusHub) Vietnam is excited to announce that Summerfruit Australia has been named as one of the Australian Industry Bodies as strategic partners for 2023.
In a media statement, AusHub said it was looking forward to working closely with it newly appointed partners to search and onboard industry representatives who will drive activities assisting market entry of Australian products to Vietnam.

These industry bodies comprise:
● Summerfruit Australia
● Wine Australia and Australian Grape & Wine
● Wool Producers Australia.
This marks a significant milestone to grow the AusHub team and its resources to support Australian wine, stone fruits, and wool industries with their in-market aspirations in Vietnam.
AusHub is designed to facilitate three Australian industry bodies in the areas of food, fibre and forestry to gain access to export markets in Vietnam, delivered through an in-country industry representative model.
Utilising market analysis, local Vietnamese industry, government networks and distribution contacts, the AusHub will work in conjunction with Summerfruit Australia to develop market presence in the country.
Australian summerfruit regained access to the Vietnamese market in 2022/2023 and has resourced it Summerfruit Australia’s presence in Vietnam to facilitate increased Australian fruit exports to the country.
The Commonwealth of Australia, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has contracted with AusCham to establish AusHub as a practical measure of building in-country capacity for Australian exporters.
This builds on commitments of Australia and Vietnam to become top ten trading partners and double two-way investment under the Australia – Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy.
The specific purpose of AusHub is to expand two-way export opportunities under the agriculture, forestry and fisheries pillar of the strategy. It will support Summerfruit Australia establish a formal in-country presence in Vietnam to further expand and diversify exports to Vietnam.
AusCham Vietnam, AusHub Vietnam and the Australian Government in Vietnam recently welcomed the Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator Don Farrell, to an AusHub Reception at in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
AusCham said it was honoured to have the Minister visit the AusCham and AusHub offices, to meet many of its sponsors and members and to hear him to share his thoughts on his visit to Vietnam.
AusCham executive director, Simon Fraser welcomed the Minister and dignitaries to the office and event, sharing a message about the current landscape for business in Vietnam.
President of AusCham Simon Pugh, spoke about the strong relationship between Australia and Vietnam with 2023 being the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and AusCham's 25th anniversary of presence in Vietnam.
Meanwhile, AusCham board member Sam Conroy, outlined the plan for the Australian Industry Hub (AusHub) and its first strategic industry bodies – Wine Australia, WoolProducers Australia, and Summerfruit Australia.
The AusHub Committee also acknowledged and thank its partners, DFAT, DAFF and Austrade who were an integral part of the EOI process.
