Australia’s industry-owned assurance standard for horticulture, Freshcare, has appointed Benjamin Wash as its new chief executive.

Australia’s industry-owned assurance standard for horticulture, Freshcare, has appointed Benjamin Wash as its new chief executive.

Allan Dall, chair of Freshcare, was pleased to announce the new role had been filled.

“The newly-created role ensures Freshcare is equipped and resourced to deliver on its continued commitment to be Australia’s leading certification for Australian Horticulture,” Dall said.

“It is critically important that Freshcare and the Freshcare team has strong leadership and support as we manage growth.”

Wash has held finance and leadership roles across government, the not-for-profit sector and industry, including including an appointment as CEO of Taxi Council Queensland.

“I am very much looking forward to working with the board, senior executive team and staff to ensure we maintain and grow our position as a leader in Australian horticulture quality assurance and continue to deliver exceptional service to our members and participating businesses,” Wash said.
