Transtak Engineering and Equipment continues to expand and improve the Transtak range of fruit bin trailers and bin handling equipment.

This now encompasses nine models of hydraulic trailers from the two–bin ATV trailer moving 50+ bins/day through to the 12-bin BAB Transporter for large blocks and longer distances, capable of moving 400+ bins/day.

Transtak manager Peter Guy who is also in charge of sales, said Tanstak now has a self-loading trailer to fit virtually any orchard situation, from 3.5-metre intensive apple plantings, to the wider avocado rows and kiwifruit trellised blocks.

“These Transtak trailers are available from our Australian agent Konigs Shepparton, who currently hold stock of the Transtak 1500L 3-bin and 1500LE 3–4 bin low-lift trailers.”

The 1500LE trailer has a load capacity of 1900kg which allows it to carry three 600kg pear (heavy) bins – or with the extension forks fitted, four of the 400kg lighter bins.

“These trailers are fitted with the Transtak ‘Soft-Ride’ suspension system and load lowering valve to gently place bins when unloading; as outlined in the trailer operator’s manual,” Mr Guy said.

The compatible Transtak 1200 Stacking Bin Fork makes moving and stacking bins easy to streamline your operation.

The complete range of Transtak trailers and bin forks are in stock at Konigs Shepparton or enquire online on the Transtak’s NZ website.

Given shipping times, growers should order their equipment early if local stock is low and allow 4–6 weeks delivery for new orders despatched via Transtak in New Zealand.
